Bordering Italy and France, the Val Ferret and La Fouly open their windows onto their neighbouring countries during the summer season with the Petit Col Ferret, the Grand Col Ferret and the Col du Ban Darray.

Much more Alpine and more easily crossed on skis, the route between the Val Ferret and France goes through the Argentière pass at 3500m or via the A Neuve or Grande Lui passes or alternatively the Tour Noir Pass, the Cardonnet Pass or the Fenêtre du Tour.
